Archers take their best shots
More than 200 archers of all ages converged on El Dorado Park on Saturday
and will do so again today for the California State Outdoor Archery Championships.
The event begins at 9 a.m. and is free with paid admission into the park.
Tristan Donathan, 9, of Lakewood (top left) sets to shoot on opening day.
Janice Walth, who is blind, is among the competitors (left). She is able to compete
using tactile sighting aids and a spotter. Three-time Olympian Janet Dykman of
El Monte (top right) is among the top-rated archers taking part in the event.
